Winter food

One of the best additions to our plot has been a little squirrel proof bird feeder. I chose ours because I wanted something to hold meal worms and suet pellets and it was recommended by the RSPB. It was actually my husbands birthday pressie but it has given us both so much pleasure over the past year.

Today was no exception and the many Blue Tit, Grey Tit and Goldfinch were having a ball!

Providing birds with supplementary food in the harshest of winters really can make the difference between life and death and even the smallest amount is helpful.

If you’re thinking of installing a bird feeder, this guide is really helpful.

I’ll be keeping mine stocked up in the coming months!
